The Pitbulls & Pumpkins event was a huge success! I was doing commissions while RBARI had my designs being sold on various clothing items (even for puppies; I saw a dog wearing a doggy-sized shirt I designed). It was amazing. I saw children holding up their new clothes with my art and I bought myself a really soft teal jacket with my art of a little puppy coming out of the pocket. There were a lot of photographers and news crews.
As for commissions, I was painting on pumpkins and people would show me a picture of their dog or cat and I would paint it. It was very touching for some people because, in a few cases, I was resurrecting their long gone pets (even one who died a year ago that very day). A lot of people were almost in tears when I gave them their art and wanted to know how to keep it forever (;u; ) but alas, they were simple pumpkins and won't stay good for long. Every person gave me positive feedback and all the money I earned (tips and all) went right to the shelter.
EDIT: Also, I had a surprise party thrown for me by some friends and it was great! The next day, before I went out of state to the event, my new shoes arrived in the mail! They're great and I love them so much! (They're exclusive Converse Gorillaz shoes that were only sold in 2012 but I managed to get a NEW pair in my size!)
